HOLDER SIGNED OFF ON ROSEN WARRANT
Fox News Reporter Declared “Co-Conspirator”
By Harold Hutchison
The warrant for controversial e-mail and phone surveillance of Fox News Reporter James Rosen was approved by Attorney General Eric Holder. The warrant labeled Rosen an “aider, abettor, or co-conspirator” in violating the Espionage Act.
According to a report by NBCNews.com, the revelation comes after Barack Obama said, “Journalists should not be at legal risk for doing their jobs.”
Fox News is not taking the revelations lightly. In a letter to employees, Roger Ailes wrote, “The administration’s attempt to intimidate Fox News and its employees will not succeed and their excuses will stand neither the test of law, the test of decency, nor the test of time. We will not allow a climate of press intimidation, unseen since the McCarthy era, to frighten any of us away from the truth.”
