HICKS TOLD NOT TO TALK TO CONGRESS
State Department Told DCM Not to Talk With Chaffetz
By Harold Hutchison
Former Deputy Chief of Mission to Libya Greg Hicks reveals that he was told by a State Department lawyer not to talk with members of Congress, including Representative Jason Chaffetz (R-UT).
Hicks went on to reveal under questioning from Congressman James Jordan (R-OH) that the lawyer was later barred from a classified briefing for which the lawyer was not cleared.
Later, Hicks reported that he received a phone call from then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, something that Jordan explained was “not considered good news” for the recipient.
