STOPPING THE NEXT MASS SHOOTER

Why Won’t Anti-Gunners Admit Concealed Carry Works?
By Harold Hutchison

THE DIRTY LITTLE SECRET OF MASS SHOOTERS
There is a dirty little secret about mass shooters: When confronted by armed citizens, they fold – and fold quickly. Whether it was the 2005 Tyler courthouse shooting, the 2007 shooting at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, or the mass shooting at the Clackamas Town Center in Oregon on 21 December – armed citizens often limited the damage done by violent psychos.

Grandstand journalism v. gun rights

Grandstand journalism versus guns produces backlash

This week’s outbreak of “grandstand journalism” is being excused by other journalists and commentators who have blasted the police investigation of NBC’s David Gregory and said very little at all about the public outing of all registered gun owners in a couple of New York counties by the White Plains Journal News.

Bellevue bar shooting shows system breakdown

Bellevue bar shooting exemplifies system breakdown

It is not entirely clear why Ja’mari Alexander Alan Jones is identified as the suspect in the early Monday fatal shooting at Bellevue Square’s Mirror Lounge at Munchbar, but it is clear to a number of Seattle Times readers that he is a poster child for a broken judicial and corrections system.

Utah Group Giving Free CCW and Mass Violence Training to Teachers

OPSGEAR® and the Utah Shooting Sports Council (USSC) are hosting a "Safe to learn. Safe to teach TM" and want to help all school employees better protect themselves and their students. They are offering a FREE Concealed Carry (CCW) Class and Mass Violence Response Training on Dec. 27th, 2012. In light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut, controversy has been brewing about arming teachers. In Utah teachers with a conceal carry permit can already carry firearms into classrooms.

Larry Correia on Gun Control

Larry Correia, bestselling author and long-time gun expert, has a lot to say in response to recent gun rights debates springing up from this year's mass shootings. I can say without a doubt that he has put together one of the best and most comprehensive cases for 2A rights and concealed carry that I've seen to date.

Check it out on his blog below, and take notes for your next discussion. The Gun Culture hasn't been under this kind of pressure since the 90s. We failed to stop the reactionary, feel-good legislation then. Can we stop it this time?

Wayne LaPierre's Speech at the NRA Press Conference

WAYNE LAPIERRE
The National Rifle Association's 4 million mothers, fathers, sons and
daughters join the nation in horror, outrage, grief and earnest prayer
for the families of Newtown, Connecticut … who suffered such
incomprehensible loss as a result of this unspeakable crime.
Out of respect for those grieving families, and until the facts are
known, the NRA has refrained from comment. While some have tried
to exploit tragedy for political gain, we have remained respectfully
silent.

Now, we must speak … for the safety of our nation's children. Because

NRA rips 'gun free zones' and launches school safety 'shield' program

NRA rips ‘gun-free’ zones, launches National School Safety Shield program

The National Rifle Association came out swinging Friday morning, announcing the creation of a National School Shield Emergency Response program as Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre threw punches at “gun-free school zones,” anti-gun politicians and the violent entertainment and video game industries.
