SIG SAUER TAKES ATF TO COURT!

Sues over ATF Claims it Made Silencer

Sig Sauer has filed suit against the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, claiming that that agency’s “determination” that a muzzle brake the company designed should be regulated as a silencer. The gunmaker’s suit, filed 7 April, seeks to have the determination of the Firearms Technology Branch (FTB) of BATFE set aside.

More details are emerging about the charges faced by Leland Yee, a California state senator who had sponsored and supported a wide array of gun-grabs. Among the charges Yee now faces are charges of weapons trafficking, reportedly to be done in return for campaign contributions, in an affidavit that almost reads like a cross between House of Cards and Sons of Anarchy.

Following up on its ruling against the “good cause” standard in California, the Ninth Circuit has struck down that requirement in a second state. The ruling struck down Hawaii’s “good cause” requirement.

According to a report by Breitbart News, the ruling was handed down yesterday by the same three-judge panel that struck down California’s “good cause” requirement in February.

This morning, the National Shooting Sports Foundation launched a nationwide campaign to counter a new effort by anti-gun California Sen. Dianne Feinstein to ban the importation of so-called “assault weapons” that she claims are not “generally recognized as particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes.”
