Rumors Fly as Border Crisis Heats Up
By Harold Hutchison

The federal government may be sending police with riot gear to Murrieta, California, the site of protests against efforts to move some of the illegal immigrants rounded up in a recent surge. This comes after at least six people were arrested during the protests.

According to reports from Breitbart Texas and the Daily Caller, the riot-gear-equipped federal agents would be used to ensure that another bug carrying illegal immigrants to a processing center located in the southern California town gets through. Last week, the protestors turned back a three-bus convoy full of illegals.

The rumored deployment of federal agents to Murrieta, where a processing station for illegals is located, is intended to ensure that other busses are not blocked. “Officers out there warned people that federal agents will be in Murrieta on Monday--they are going to get the next bus through no matter what. Riot gear and shields will be used to push the crowd back,” Jeremy Oliver, a Temecula, California resident told Breitbart Texas.

“We’re being told that federal Marshals or ICE will be here in the next few days and that they are bringing riot gear,” John Henry, a Murrieta resident, told Breitbart Texas. Henry also noted that the federal agents would be blocking streets.

Marine Corps General John Kelly told DefenseOne.com that many people ignore the issues on the border between the United States and Mexico, saying, “Many argue these threats are not existential and do not challenge our national security. I disagree.”
