Retired Army General Norman Schwarzkopf, who commanded the U.S.-led international coalition that drove Iraqi forces out of Kuwait in 1991, has died. He was 78.

Schwarzkopf died Thursday of complications from pneumonia in Tampa, Florida, where he lived in retirement.

A much-decorated combat soldier in Vietnam, Schwarzkopf was known popularly as “Stormin' Norman'' because of his notoriously explosive temper. In 1991, he led Operation Desert Storm, which liberated Kuwait from Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's forces.

Anti-Gun Extremists Will Be Coming In Force

A HORRIBLE MASSACRE
On 14 December, a crazed gunman forced his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty innocent children were killed, along with seven adults in a horrific American tragedy. Grief ripped across the entire country, as all Americans tried to make sense of a horribly senseless act.

Illinois will no longer be the only state to forbid law-abiding citizens any means of carrying a gun for self-defense. The ban on concealed carry in that state was struck down by a panel of judges at the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the United States.
