Republicans Seek Depositions As New Scandal Emerges
By Harold Hutchison

The fallout from the hearings held by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday hit over the Sunday shows. On Fox News Sunday, Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI), the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, predicted that more whistleblowers would come forward. Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee also said he was seeking depositions from officials.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Thomas Pickering, who co-chaired the Accountability Review Board that looked into the Benghazi attack, defended the board’s report, even as new questions were raised about who was and was not interviewed. “We knew where the responsibility rested,” he said on Face the Nation, adding, “They've tried to point a finger at people more senior than where we found the decisions were made.”

Pickering’s review had come under fire from Greg Hicks, who had been Deputy Chief of Mission in Libya. The scandal is heating up, with many mainstream media outlets now reporting on the Obama Administration’s mishandling of the 11 September, 2012 attack on the consulate in Benghazi, in which four Americans died.
