Combined helicopter task force carries out the relief in place of an ANA Kandak in Gulistan, Farah province

A combined Helicopter Task Force successfully achieved the Relief in Place of a Kandak of the 207th Corps of the Afghan National Army at the forward operational base located in Gulistan, in the eastern part of the province of Farah.

Mi17 aircrafts of the Afghan Air Force, along with other coalition helicopters, transported altogether 250 soldiers and two tons of equipment through nine missions totaling over 100 flying hours.

The Operation was planned in close coordination between the Afghan armed forces and ISAF Regional Command West and is an important achievement in the perspective of transition.
