CHICOMS DEMAND EXPLANATION OF SURVEILLANCE
Deny Snowden Was a Spy
By Harold Hutchison
The Chinese Communists are demanding that the United States explain why it has been carrying out surveillance of foreign internet traffic and millions of phone calls. The demand comes in the wake of revelations from self-proclaimed whistle-blower Edward Snowden.
The Chinese demands come in the wake of controversy over possible ChiCom involvement in cyberattacks on American networks. The ChiCom attacks are alleged to have also compromised major American weapons programs. The ChiComs have also denied that Snowden was spying for them.
Should the U.S. give the ChiComs an explanation, or tell them where they can go? Do you believe their denials?
