FLAK

DEAR RKB AND STAFF:
Congratulations on 35 years.
I am enclosing a photo of a young friend of mine (3rd from right: Spc. Jared Waechter) taken somewhere in
Afghanistan in May of 2010.

I am a subscriber to Soldier of Fortune and thought you would be interested in this photograph. I sent Spc. Waechter and his squad of seven men (2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Charlie Co. 508 Reg., 1st Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd ABN) each a T-shirt which was advertised in your magazine by Black Ink Design.

RKB’s Politically Incorrect Thoughts

Here are a few “politically incorrect” concepts that affect the safety of the Republic.

THE WORLD’S ASSAULT RIFLES

I was first introduced to Thomas Nelson’s book series in the late ‘80s while writing for Gun World Magazine. On a regular basis I would refer to The World’s Machine Pistols and Submachine Guns, Volumes I & II (written by Nelson, Lockhoven and Musgrave). As a writer, I (as do others) rely on correct and detailed information regarding the subject at hand. Thomas Nelson’s book series was always one of the first reference books I reached for when additional information was needed.

MEXICO TAKES ON THE CARTELS

MASSACRES, EXECUTIONS, AND BEHEADINGS
Just this morning we are hearing about another massacre in Mexico, this one at a drug rehabilitation center in Tijuana across the border from San Diego. Last week the big news from Mexico concerned a massacre at a birthday party in Juarez, across the border from El Paso. In each instance, some 13 people were brutally executed.

The news about massacres, executions, beheadings, the killing of public officials, mass shoot-outs, extortion, and kidnapping across the border has become so commonplace we hardly pay attention anymore.
