Russia Hopes for US Flexibility on Missile Defense Plan

Russia says it expects the United States will show more flexibility in a dispute over U.S. missile defense plans following the re-election of President Barack Obama.

Speaking Thursday at an international conference in Moscow, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin expressed hope that the U.S. president will take into account the opinions of Russia and others regarding the configuration of NATO's missile defense.

LAST RESORT: Hollywood Blows It

ABC’s new series Last Resort is promoted as a high-drama military series, coming from Shawn Ryan, executive producer of The Shield and The Unit. However, after watching the pilot, it seems as if those who made it took the worst aspects of Seven Days in May, Crimson Tide, and Platoon, and mixed them all together – creating a film that fits just about every stereotype of the military that so-called progressives have put forth.

Green Berets awarded Distinguished Service Cross for Valor

Two Green Berets from 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) were awarded the Distinguished Service Cross in a ceremony held at the John F. Kennedy Auditorium, June 14.

Chief Warrant Officer Jason W. Myers and Staff Sgt. Corey M. Calkins received the U.S. Army's second highest award for valor for two separate missions in Afghanistan in 2010. The Distinguished Service Cross is second only to the Medal of Honor.
