"Recent news items about the use of Army medical evacuation, or MEDEVAC, helicopters in Afghanistan contain troubling information. The reporting suggests that putting red crosses on MEDEVACs, and not arming them somehow, is putting injured Soldiers' lives at risk. The facts do not support these assertions for several reasons.

WEST SPEAKS OUT ON VIDEO

Representative Allan West (R-FL), a combat veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, spoke up on the controversial video in which Marines allegedly urinated on dead Taliban. West said in a statement to the Weekly Standard, “All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?

Dakota Meyer’s story. We firmly stand behind the Medal of Honor process and the conclusion that this Marine rightly deserved the nation’s highest military honor.
