BLUESERVO TO SECURE THE BORDER?
Could there already be a system to help cut back illegal border crossing by over ninety percent? The answer, most surprisingly, could be, “yes.”
According to a report by Breitbart News, Texas set up a series of cameras known as the BlueServo system. The camera, placed at strategic locations, put their feed on the Internet, where as many as one and a half million volunteer monitors were able to help report illegal crossings.
The system helped Customs and Border Patrol, along with Texas authorities, apprehend as many as 92% of illegal crossers, including dangerous criminals. The system was notable for its ability to provide evidence that could stand up in court as well.
Breitbart News reported that the system was shut down in the wake of budget cuts. The system put up earlier costs $2,000,000 a year to run. For an additional $8 million, the system could be expanded to cover more areas in not just Texas, but Arizona and New Mexico as well.
Do you think this system should be expanded?
