17 Killed in Clash Between Cops, Pro-Morsi Demonstrators

Egyptian police have moved to disperse two protest camps – and at least 17 people have died as the situation turned violent. This is the latest round of violence in the wake of Mohammed Morsi’s removal from office on 3 July.

The Moslem Brotherhood has been protesting in the streets since the Egyptian military kicked Morsi out, basing out of protest camps like the two targeted. Egyptian police were using armored vehicles and bulldozers to clear the camps. According to a report by TheBlaze.com, further clashes broke out across Cairo.

Over 300 people have died since Morsi was removed on 3 July, as violence has sporadically broken out.
